Betsy Mayfield is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner, Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor and a Substance Abuse Professional.She has worked in the mental health and substance abuse field for the past nine years.Throughout her career, she has worked in an inpatient facility and an outpatient non-profit organization specializing in mental health and substance abuse. In 2014, she started Let It Be Counseling LLC and became an affiliate with Counseling Connections and Associates.

Betsy provides a supportive, safe, trusting and judgment-free therapy environment.Her passion is assisting adults on their personal journey towards change, leading them to enhance their quality of life.Betsy ensures clients receive individualized care by utilizing a variety of treatment modalities, with an emphasis on Cognitive-Behavioral and Dialectic Behavior Therapy.Betsy compassionately works with individuals and/or couples to help them identify their strengths and skills that can be used to cope with any of life's challenges.

Betsy received her Bachelors of Science in 1999 and received her Masters of Science in Community Counseling in 2007 from the University of Nebraska-Omaha.In 2015, she furthered her interest in the Department of Transportation substance abuse field by becoming a Substance Abuse Professional(SAP).

One of her areas of specialty is working in the field of addictions.As a Registered Provider of the Nebraska Supreme Court Probation, she offers substance abuse evaluations and individual treatment for those recommended individual outpatient substance abuse treatment.Betsy also provides SAP/DOT evaluations and treatment for those that have encountered substance abuse issues jeopardizing their employment.
